Neighbors
The temperature has cooled off enough (96 or so at 6:30pm) that we can play outside again! We are so fortunate to live by wonderful people. Specifically, the Esplin's who have 3 kids 9,6 and 3 that live right next door. Their grandma is staying with them for a while. She was giving the kids a ride in the wagon and it was cute enough that I ran (acutally ran) into the house for my camera.

art work
When I say my girls like to color and make artsy things I'm not lying. They are seriously coloring all day long.
This first little gem Kayleigh made yesterday. Her name is at the top. She always writes her name last. Then she drew Kona on the top left. You can't see it in the picture but she has a pink tounge. Under the 3 pink dots you'll find me. The big head is dave and to the untrained eye above Dave's head you may not see anything, but the arc and the line make up Dave's hat. The two little girls on the bottom right are Kayleigh and Zoe. Finally on the bottom left she traced her own hand and wrote Zoe's name.
Yesterday I was supposed to wash the kitchen floor. Instead we spread out the paper, stickers, markers, and glue and went crazy with the art supplies! Zoe made a card for Dave and Kayleigh made I card for me.

Zoe's First Day of Gymnastics
Zoe is also in gymnastics once a week. It's a class that I participate in with her and it's for 30 min. Kayleigh just sits on the side lines and does whatever. Today she played the DS and met a new friend who is 6 and wears earings! ;o)
Zoe was not feeling up to much today. I think the terrible twos are here already! Hopefully she will get used to our new schedule soon and be able to have fun.

Kayleigh's First Day at Gymnastics
On Wednesday August 11th Kayleigh started gymnastics at a cute little gym called Trinity (http://www.trinityjumpforjoy.com/)
She really liked it. I think I will too. Her class consisted of 3 girls and a boy and she had 3 teachers one of which was a guy, which is good. Her favorite was a Stink Bug Roll (summersault), and learning how to do a cartwheel. They even climbed the rock wall, did the beams and bars!

Phoenix Children's Museum
On Wednesday we (me and the girls) drove up to Phoenix to visit with Danielle, Gunnar, and Bennett. We met up at the Children's Museum and let me tell you, IT WAS A BLAST!
Here the kids are at the entrance by a dragon. Kayleigh is loving Gunnar!
There was an area just for kids under 3. Zoe loved it! This was a crazy "shoe wall" I guess you could call it. It was a bunch of shoes on the wall that were painted the wall color. Strange yet cool.
Zoe got to paint a house.
The Museum was so busy the kids didn't get a turn on the cool trykes, but they still had fun on the wooden scooters.
They had this really cool grocery store with carts, real looking and feeling food items, and even a checkout stand! It was a hit!

We waited a while for Danielle and the boys to show up, but it wasn't a problem because they were having so much fun TOGETHER!
Oh and I wanted to try this thing... I don't know what you would call it but it was awesome!
Zoe really liked the museum. She would play with one thing and love that thing so much that when it was time to move on she would throw a fit (and she's really good at those).
$27 for admission, $7 for snacks, 3 hours of air conditioned fun priceless!
Ballet
We have been so busy lately and it's all about the kids. I can get so frustrated with them, but I love them so much.
After a morning playdate, lunch with my mom and only 2 hours at home, we were off to another playdate with Becky (the mom), Felicity (Kayleigh's friend from ballet) and Michaela (a girl Zoe's age). The little girls aren't quite sure how to play together yet, but the big girls (that includes me) had lots of fun! They of course played princess... and they went on dates (ugh). All very cute. We were there before Kayleigh's first day of her second year of ballet and tap dance lessons, so they were able to get ready together. Again, very cute!
They even had matching Sleeping Beauty high heals to wear on the 2 min. car ride to class. LOL! The pic was taken from my camera phone, so it's not a good. Becky took some so I'll add those later.
