Dance Recital
From Aug 2008 to June 2009 every Thursday Zoe and I would sit outside of Pointe of Grace Dance and watch and wait for Kayleigh while she learned ballet and tap.
While there, I met a few girls (do you call people over 25 women or girls? When does the female stop being called a girl and start being called a woman?) that are now my friends and family friends. :)
Anyways, on June 13th at 6pm we watched our little princesses dance! I even shed a little tear when I saw my baby up there. She was up on stage in front of a huge auditorium of people; Scared, but still she did it! After it was over I ran up on stage to give her a hug and a bouquet of pink roses. As soon as she saw me she started to cry because she was tired and hungry. Poor thing. So, we wisked her away to Dairy Queen (her choice) for an ice cream cone (her choice) then she chose Sonic for dinner. Yes, we did dessert before dinner that night! She still talks about it!

change on the horizon
I'm giving the family blog another go.
Today I told Kayleigh's school that July would be her last month with them. I tried so hard not to cry, but I couldn't help myself. "We" have been with them for 4 years. We will all miss seeing all the kids and parents we've met there. Hopefully we will still be in contact through the web and events.
So, what will the Acorn Girls be doing with our free time? Well, I have never been one to stay home, so I have made commitments! Mondays and Wednesdays the girls will have gymnastics, Tuesdays I will work part-time, Thursdays Kayleigh will continute with tap and ballet, and I am going to be joining a gym where the kids can play while I burn off the pounds! :o) We should have fun most days :o) I am also in charge of Mommy Mixers in Gladden Farms, and we have great friends and family to do things with! I'm sure life won't always be classical music and art, but I think I can handle life with 2 kids all day every day?!???
